The A in VUCA stands for ambiguity.
That is a tricky one.
It means that in a situation both A and B can be right. And even when A and B are the completely opposite, they can still be both right.
What does this to experience? Experience in A is, of course, less relevant when experience in B is needed.
But much more important is to bring humanity to the table. Opening up, being curious and demonstrating vulnerability is key in these kinds of situations.
And that is a tough ask for many of us who are used to grow up in a world where “you have to be right” as a manager. It is expected that you know things and that you have the experience to make the right decision.
